It has been said that the most segregated time in America is at 11 a.m. on Sunday morning, and though race relations in the United States have certainly improved in the 150 years since the end of slavery, you don’t have to look too hard or too long to find reminders of how things used to be, especially in the South.
Every day in news and social media there are new stories regarding what is happening inside faith communities, and every day it raises the question for many, “Why bother staying in this thing called ‘church’?”
And I'm not referring just to my portion of it, but to the entire Christian church – Christ's people. We don't want to listen to Him. In fact, I'm pretty sure most Christians don't know how.
