The Rev. Elaine Breckenridge will be offering a mini-pilgrimage using the labyrinth at St. John's Cathedral127 East 12th Ave, on Aug. 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

A pilgrimage, she explained, is a time honored tradition involving dedicated holy walking.

The event will include an introduction to the labyrinth and its use as a spiritual tool for Christians. The pilgrimage experience will also give participants time and space for their own spiritual renewal through guided meditation, reflection and walking the labyrinth, according to a news release.

Participants are encouraged to wear cool, comfortable clothing and to bring thick socks for walking the labyrinth. Participants may also wish to bring a journal. There is no charge for the event and coffee and a mid-morning snack will be provided.
