Next week Immaculate Heart Retreat Center will host a Silent Day of Prayer titled, “Christian Mysticism: Moving to the Heart of the Matter.”

Led by Gonzaga University’s Sr. Joy Milos, the day will explore the journey of mysticism throughout the Christian tradition, and focus in on some medieval and modern mystics.

It will be Oct. 26 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. beginning with the Rosary, and will include two conferences, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, a Mass, lunch, and conclude with Adoration. Cost is $38 per person, ($48 with the use of a private room for the day.)

Milos is a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet from the Albany, New York Province.  She has taught at Gonzaga for almost 30 years in the areas of Christian Spirituality and Systematic Theology.  In addition to teaching and student mentoring, Milos created and has worked in “Hearing God’s Voice,” a training program for spiritual directors at Gonzaga.
