Christian churches across the world celebrate Easter in diverse ways, and the Spokane regional churches are no different.

Tonight from 4 - 7 p.m., attendees will be greeted at the door and encouraged to participate in the eight different stations set up throughout the church. As participants walk through the final days of Jesus’ life, they will even have an opportunity to write down their own sins and nail it to the cross.

But the lecturer told us about times and places in Christianity in which folks might have said that the defining day of our faith was Pentecost or the Transfiguration or the Ascension or today: Good Friday.

St. Stephen's Episcopal Church invites the public to join them in a Good Friday pilgrimage through downtown Spokane on April 3 to trace the path that Jesus walked from his arrest and trial to the crucifixion on the cross and his burial.

The nave of the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist grew dark with shadows of betrayal, abandonment, and anguish Friday night as Christians gathered to remember the crucifixion of Jesus, and the events leading to his death.

On April 18, at 7 p.m. the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist will host a traditional Tenebrae service as it celebrates Good Friday.
