Informed Choice WA will be presenting their event, “COVID Betrayal: A Path Forward,” tomorrow (May 20) at Calvary Spokane from 1-5 p.m.

As the COVID vaccine becomes more accessible to broad swaths of the population, faith leaders are finding ways to combat vaccine hesitancy, encourage a return to normalcy and reckon with the ways in which the vaccine fits into their faith.

Health officials in the nation's capital are hoping that Smith and other Black religious leaders will serve as community influencers to overcome what officials say is a persistent vaccine reluctance in the Black community.
