The Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori, presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church, will tour ecumenical mission projects in the Yakama Indian Reservation, Dec. 8, and preach at St. John’s Cathedral in Spokane Dec. 9.
Jefferts Schori and The Rt. Rev. James E. Waggoner, Jr., bishop of the Diocese of Spokane, will tour Noah’s Ark homeless shelter and the Campbell Farm in Wapato, and visit other ecumenical partners in White Swan, whose collaborative work last year included bringing aid, partially funded by Episcopal Relief and Development, to victims of the White Swan fire. Bishop Jefferts Schori and Bishop Waggoner will also join other community and congregational leaders at the Toppenish United Methodist Church, an ecumenical partner in mission with Christ Episcopal Church in Zillah.

On Dec. 9 Jefferts Schori will speak at Spokane’s St. John’s Cathedral Morning Forum at 9 a.m. and preach and celebrate at the 10:30 a.m. worship service. She will speak on the topic of science and religion at the morning forum. These services are open to the public.
