I mentioned that on July 17, 2016, I prayed fervently to be released from years of demeaning homelessness in the San Francisco Bay Area. I also reported that ten days later, on July 27, 2016, I stepped off a bus in Moscow, Idaho, and have been inside ever since. So how did this remarkable change of circumstance come to pass?
I ask my fellow Christians these questions: Where did we first hear “Abortion is murder?” Where did we first hear “Life begins at conception?” We did not read them in our Bibles. They simply are not there.
I think it’s pretty obvious I regard the Bible as my sacred text. Every column I’ve submitted on this site is in some way a reflection of my Bible-based worldview. As to what tradition my biblical emphasis represents, that’s another story. There simply isn’t one. At the age of thirty, when I first began to read the Bible seriously, I was drawn toward verses that illuminate Jesus’ disdain for tradition.
I adjure you, if you are a Bible-believing follower of Jesus Christ, and you are at all wavering as to who to vote for tomorrow at the polls, please reconsider before you make the mistake of casting your vote for Donald Trump.
