She started the No Fear in Love (NFIL) race to do just that, which is now in its 8th year and will take place on Saturday, March 2, at 6:29 a.m. (sunrise), on the campus of Gonzaga University.
Her curiosity has since led to a thriving friendship with more than 20 women, dubbed “Spokane Women Together” and starting next week, the “Spokane Women Together: Portraits and Stories” photo exhibition – an outgrowth of the group.
The discussion will be based on the docudrama, "The Sultan and the Saint," which tells the story of Francis of Assisi and the Sultan of Egypt who search for common ground after meeting on a bloody battlefield during the period of Christian-Muslim conflict known as the Crusades.
