The 2012 Whitworth University Christmas Festival concerts, “Laud to the Nativity,” kicks off Dec. 1 and will feature more than 120 student performers, including members of the Whitworth Choir, the Whitworth Women’s Choir, the Whitworth Men’s Chorus and the Whitworth Chamber Singers, as well as student instrumentalists and narrators.
According to an announcement from Whitworth, musical selections will include Healey Willan’s “Behold, the Tabernacle of God”; Gyorgy Orban’s “Kyrie and Gloria”; Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina’s setting of “Hodie Christus natus est”; and Hugo Distler’s “Lo! How a Rose E’er Blooming.” Mass choir selections will include Scott Hafso’s joyful “Eja” and David Willcock’s majestic setting of “O Come, All Ye Faithful.”

A limited number of tickets may also be available for purchase at the door prior to each concert.
