Matthew Kincanon is a communications coordinator with a journalism and political science degree from Gonzaga University. His journalism experience includes the Gonzaga Bulletin, The Spokesman-Review, Art Chowder, Trending Northwest, Religion Unplugged and FāVS News. Gonzaga Center for Hate Studies Accepting Presentation Proposals for Conference

The Gonzaga Center for the Study of Hate is inviting people to share their work to counter hate and promote hope by submitting a proposal to present at the 7th International Conference on Hate Studies. The theme for proposals is “Challenges of hate in the 21st century.” The conference will be held from April 20 - 22, 2023.

Whitworth University to Hold Christmas Festival Concert this Month

The Whitworth University Music Department will present the 2022 Christmas Festival Concert “Nowell Sing We,” this weekend. The concert features Christmas music from the Whitworth Choir and the Forest Treble Choir under the direction of Xiaosha Lin, DMA, director of choral activities.

Weller first got involved with SpokaneFāVS in October 2021 at a book discussion hosted by FāVS. The meeting was on the book “An Everyday Cult,” which resonated with Weller and she felt grateful that FāVS would promote a thoughtful discussion. Later, FāVS posted an article Weller wrote about the signs of a healthy and unhealthy spirituality, and became a columnist in the Spring of 2022.
