On Jan. 21, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the Immaculate Heart Retreat Center will host its next discussion in the Coffee and Contemplation series, entitled “Water from a Deep Well: Four Christian Practices from the History of Christianity.” This one-day retreat is aimed to quench spiritual thirst through reflective prayer practices, according to a press release. The discussion is open for people of all denominations, and will be led by Jerry Sittser of Whitworth University

Sittser attended Hope College and Fuller Theological Seminary, where he earned his M.Div. degree. He holds a Ph.D. in the History of Christianity from the University of Chicago, and has been teaching theology at Whitworth since 1989.  “Water from a Deep Well: Four Christian Practices from the History of Christianity” will focus on historical prayer practices of early Christian traditions.

Advance registration is requested. The cost is $10 per person, and warm beverages and rolls will be provided. For more information or to register, contact Immaculate Heart at 509-448-1224 or online at www.ihrc.net.
