Coffee and Contemplation, a spiritual discussion and prayer event for people of all denominations at Immaculate Heart Retreat Center, will continue with the Rev. Janeen Steer, campus minister at Gonzaga University on May 21. The topic will be “Living in the now and not yet.”
According to a news release, the topic was chosen because, “America is quickly becoming an irreligious country — it has even been argued that ‘Christendom is Dead.’ The American church is experiencing seismic shifts in modern American culture.”
Steer will explore what it means to be a Christian in the changing modern American religious landscape and how Jesus can lead the way.
The program runs from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and includes warm beverages and rolls. Cost is $10 per session. Advance reservations are requested. For information or to register contact Immaculate Heart at 509-448-1224 or visit its website.
