In March Faith Partners, a Spokane-based collaborative between social service agencies and faith representatives, will offer a multi-faith workshop to support communities responding to human trafficking in the Spokane Region. The program will also address  the commercial sexual exploitation of adults and youth.

According to an announcement by Faith Partners, human trafficking is an issue that concerns all faith communities.  “As a result, many faith-based projects arise where religious communities seek to assist the victims of this horrific human rights violation.”

The workshop, titled “Faith Communities Respond to Human Trafficking” will provide participants about human trafficking information and research and best practices.

The workshop will take place March 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will be hosted by Providence Health Care at Providence Holy Family Hospital’s Health Education Center, 5633 N. Lidgerwood St.

Cost is $10 and guests can register by emailing FaithPartnersAdvocacy@gmail.com or by calling (509) 323-2123.
