World Interfaith Harmony Week (Feb. 1-7) will soon be upon us, and oh how we need it. For all its ability to bring peace and order to our lives, religion has also been the fuel and catalyst for much fighting and strife.

One-sided forms of communication definitively hinder attempts to form friendships and connections with others and to gain a sense of belonging, which is of paramount importance to daily life.
People proselytize in a variety of ways. Some do it raucously, like Harold Camping and Kenneth Copeland did through radio and TV for decades. Others do it quietly, perhaps with wily bumper stickers.
