Habitat for Humanity-Spokane kicked off their five-day Women Build event yesterday with the motto, “Empowered Women Empower Communities.”

Banner Bank, Habitat for Humanity-Spokane’s presenting sponsor of the “Hope Builders Virtual Benefit Lunch-In,” pledges to give up to $17,000 through April 29 as part of raising funds to build affordable homes for families enrolled in Habitat’s program.

This year a worldwide pandemic has amplified the need for everyone to have a decent place to live, and right now, affordable housing in Spokane County is at a crisis level.

Habitat for Humanity- Spokane is seeking volunteers to help with a 114 twin home development plan in Deer Park.

So far eight homes have been completed.
