In an era defined by technological advancements and evolving societal values, the significance of faith-based education remains steadfast.

On Saturday at Coffee Talk SpokaneFAVS started a great conversation about Faith and Education. The discussion will continue Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Steam Plant, 159 S. Lincoln, and all are welcome.

Although it's a holiday, SpokaneFAVS will still have its monthly Coffee Talk today at 10 a.m. The topic is "Faith and Education" and all are welcome to join FAVS panelists in this informal discussion.

As an educator, I was very conscious of not bringing my religious beliefs into the classroom or into discussions with my staff. I do not believe in imposing my beliefs on another, rather it is important to honor and respect all beings.

We enter classrooms to learn and grow — not to stay stagnant. But to learn and grow, we have to think beyond ourselves and our limited thinking.
