Built in 1890, the church watched the city grow up around it — a high school, a freeway, other churches.
A free workshop exploring Celtic Christian spirituality will be held at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist on July 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The workshop will be presented by the Rev. Elaine Breckenridge and will focus on the historical and theological elements of Celtic Christianity.
The Church of Christ building was erected in 1920 on the site of the Protestant Episcopal Church of Spokane, which was built in 1902 and demolished in 1919.
