One Peace, Many Paths is hosting the Interfaith Souper Bowl Challenge on Sunday, Feb. 26 from 5-8 p.m. in Gonzaga University’s Cataldo Hall. The event is part of the 2017 Interfaith Compassion Games.
The Souper Bowl is an effort to “build personal relationships of respect, understanding and appreciation for all, across lines of religion and ethnicity, as a basis for creating a stronger and more compassionate community,” according to Co-Director of One Peace Many Paths Joan Broeckling.
The event challenges participants from different faith communities to collect as many canned goods as possible, including soup, and bring them to the event on Feb. 26.
One Peace, Many Paths urges attendees to bring a dish to share and mark if it is vegetarian, gluten-free, or kosher due to dietary restrictions. The group encourages participating faith communities to send five or more members to the competition. Unaffiliated individuals are also welcome to attend.
Participants may register and provide an approximate number of attendees by emailing [email protected], or by calling or texting (425) 367-9565.
