By Christi Ortiz

May my faith be as courageous and fierce as the lion
May my insight and wisdom be as piercing and discerning as the eagle

May my calm be as peaceful as the tranquil lake
And my heart be as full as the rushing river

May my fruitfulness and action be as abundant as the wild flowers
And my dedication be as faithful as the migrating birds

May my listening be as keen as the bat
And my spirit as gentle as the butterfly

May I learn from the Wisdom of your creation all around me
And may my voice join in their chorus of your praise

May I enter the rhythm of the seasons and cycles of nature
And be renewed by the rebirth of each new day and each new moon
