What if sin is misconception,
a misconception of Truth’s dimension,
a believing in the Enemy’s deception?
We must shed the lies
and break the bond of sin that ties.
We must be changed by conversion’s cries.
For it is only when the seed dies
that it will be reborn and arise
and gain sight as its prize.
The clarity that is retrieved
when one drops the preconceived
and opens at last to the unbelieved.
For, when of God we perceive
of God we can receive
and then of God we may conceive.
I enjoyed this piece of writing for the imagery it presented. While I personally am not religious, I can appreciate the message of the poem about finding belief and a place of peace.
