Fear is contagious.
If you have it, you spread it to others

Just as you regress after watching a horror movie,
to becoming suddenly afraid of the dark and startle with every sound,

we spread fear to one another like germs.
In close proximity we breathe in the energy like a foreign invader.

Listening to the Voice of Fear
is like breathing in pathogens released in snot and sneeze.

Don’t succumb.
It’s germ season in our political atmosphere.

Don’t let fear catch you and make you sick.
Too sick and congested with greed to open your hand to a neighbor in need

You falsely believe that building walls will quarantine you to the dangers in the world
But we all drink the same water, we’re all traveling on this pale blue dot together.

Sink or swim, we are in this together
The sooner you realize this, the sooner you will get to work cleaning up our island

You can’t turn a blind eye
We have created a sickness that is spreading everywhere.

There’s no way to defend against
a disease of our own making.

Pointing fingers is not helpful
Take ownership of what you can do today

Don’t believe in the lies
Let Faith be your Immunity

Let prayer and charity
Bolster your immunity

To fight the disease
That threatens to close our hearts

and kill that which is most sacred
and holy in us, our humanity.
