Today at 6 p.m. a demonstration and candlelight vigil will be held outside the Spokane County Courthouse to protest the election of Donald Trump.
According to an announcement this event is designed to be a peaceful way to show support for those across the country whose rights could be in danger because of the election results.
Organizers say it’s also a way to take a stand against hate, especially since some minorities in Spokane have encountered threats since the election.
Hundreds of people are expected to attend.
