Each summer churches across the region host Vacation Bible Schools, giving children and teenagers a chance to visit with and meet friends in an educational setting and learn religious values and lessons.

Below is a list of local Vacation Bible Schools. Comment below if your school is missing and make sure to read our full list of church camps here.

Assumption Parish
The bible school’s Holy Land Adventure will take place in Babylon. Preschool through 6th grade. 9 to 11:30 a.m. on June 25 through June 29. Contact: (509) 326-0144.

Community United Methodist Church, Coeur d'Alene
Kids will learn the value of friendship and how to deal with bullying, including music, games, crafts and snacks. Grade 1 through 5. 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on July 9 through 13. Contact: (208) 765-8800.

Covenant United Methodist Church
Campers will play games, read Bible stories, do crafts, play outside and more at this faith-based camp (grades 1 through 7) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; (grades preschool through Kindergarten) 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on June 25 through 29. $10-$25. Contact: (509) 466-1768.

Episcopal Church of the Resurrection
This Tri-Parish Vacation Bible School with St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Advent Lutheran is this week at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Gym. Ages 4-years to 5th grade. 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on June 18 through 21. Cost: $15. Contact: (509) 928-3210 or Nils Wagenhals at (509) 928-2423.

Foothills Community Church
Children will participate in small groups and discover what it means to trust God, including adventures called “God Sightings,” team-building games, Bible songs. Snacks too. 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on July 30 through August 3. Contact: (509) 926-4971.

Hero Vacation Bible School
Through the Covenant United Methodist Church, campers are invited to explore the ways God works in their lives. Ages 7 through 13 on July 25 through 28. Cost: $10, $25 family. Contact: (509) 466-1768.

Hope Lutheran Church
This year’s bible school theme is the Amazing Desert Journey, Where Jesus Leads Us Home. Ages 4-years to 6th grade. 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on July 16 through 20. Contact: (509) 924-1630.

Life Center North Spokane
This one’s themed “Sky High, Everything is possible with God.” Ages 4-years through 6th grade. 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on July 9 through 13. Cost: $15. Contact: (509) 444-8445.

Northview Bible Church
This vacation bible school will be spent on Promise Island among the palm trees and sand, to learn about God’s promises. 8:55 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. June 25 through 29. Contact: Sue Logsdon at (509) 466-1770.

Opportunity Presbyterian Church, Spokane Valley
Children will enjoy snacks, praise songs, games, Bible adventures and crafts. Ages 3-years through 5th grade. 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on July 23 through 27. Contact: (509) 924-9750.

Redeemer Lutheran Church
This week is for children to learn about Jesus through games, music, crafts and even snacks. Ages 3-year to 5th grade. July 16 through 20. Contact: (509) 926-6363.

Southside Parishes
Sacred Heart, St. Augustine, St. Peter, and Fatima parishes are joining together for “Totally Catholic.” at St. Augustine Parish. Ages 4-years through 5th grade. 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on June 25 through 29. Cost: $25, $35 for 2 children and $5 for each additional child.

Spokane Valley Baptist Church
This vacation bible school will be spent on Promise Island among the palm trees and sand, to learn about God’s promises. This includes bible stories, crafts, snacks, games and songs. Spokane First Church of the Nazarene
Themed “Babylon: Daniel’s Courage in Captivity,” children will learn what it was like to adapt to life in God’s service. Ages 4-years through 6th grade. Cost: $3.00 maximum, first day. 9:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on July 16 through 20. Contact: (509) 467-8986.

St. Thomas More Catholic Church
This bible school is dubbed “Assorted Saints and the Virtues of Faith, Hope and Love.” Grades preschool through 6th. 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. July 9 through 13. Cost: $25 per child or $50 per family. Contact: (509) 466-0220.

Unity Church of Spokane
All children are invited for music, crafts, stories and spiritual discovery.  Ages 5 to 12. July 16 through 20. Contact: (509) 838-6518.

Whitworth Community Presbyterian Church
