Every Thursday in September The Oak Tree will discuss “Worker-Owned Cooperatives – Building the New Economy” at Salem Lutheran Church.
The meetings will be in the Fireside Room from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Joel Williamson, Oak Tree creator, wrote that the four-week workshop is designed to discuss how to build a resilient, local, equitable economy in Spokane through worker-owned cooperatives.
Each week is divided into the following topics:
Week 1: “Evergreen Cooperative” video.
Week 2: “Mondragon Experiment” video.
Week 3: Discussion of Greg MacLeod's book, “From Mondragon to America.”
Week 4: Discussion about implementing the Mondragon/Cleveland model in Spokane.
