Immaculate Heart Retreat Center will host a Day of Prayer entitled, “Mary, Model of Perfect Discipleship,” led by the Rev. Jeff Lewis, March 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Lewis will explore the Gospel scenes of the Annunciation, the Visitation and the Nativity.  Through this exploration, “participants will learn from Mary how to recognize God’s will (discernment) and how to cooperate with the grace of God to bring that will to fulfillment in life (discipleship),” according to a press release.

Lewis is the pastor of the parishes in Chewelah, Springdale and Valley, Wash. the mission of St. Joseph, Jump Off Joe Lake.

The Day of Prayer begins with a Rosary at 9 a.m., includes two conferences, lunch, the sacrament of Reconciliation, and Mass. The Day of Prayer will close with Adoration.  Cost is  $35 per person and includes lunch, (or $45 which also includes use of a private room for the day).  Register in advance by calling (509)448-1224 or online at www.ihrc.net.
