This summer, Whitworth will welcome Princeton Theological Seminary President Craig Barnes and Fuller Theological Seminary Mark Labberton as the featured co-preachers for the 39th annual Whitworth Institute of Ministry July 7-11.
This summer’s WIM will reflect on the nature of Christ’s love through Scripture and prayer, through fellowship and preaching, through worship and solitude, according to a press release. Barnes and Labberton will share messages from the Gospel during evening worship services. Marianne Meye Thompson, the George Eldon Ladd Professor of New Testament at Fuller, will lead the morning Bible study on Jesus’ last discourse in John 13-17.
The public is invited to attend the institute’s worship services Monday–Thursday at 7 p.m. in Seeley Mudd Chapel. Admission to the services is free. Pre-registration and payment are required for those who wish to participate in other WIM programming, including morning prayer, morning bible study, communion and ministry discussions. For complete WIM details, a schedule of events, and to register, visit www.whitworth.edu/wim, or e-mail[email protected].
