Rep. Kevin Parker, 6th District Republican, will hold a town hall meeting at 7 p.m.  Wednesday at the Service Station to discuss human trafficking.

At the meeting, which he’ll hold in conjunction with Darrin Duty, from Generation Alive, and Jeremy Affeldt, pitcher for the San Francisco Giants, Parker will discuss what he’s doing in Olympia to combat slavery in America, he said in a statement.

“It is up to all of us to be attentive to what is going on around us and to prevent future victims,” he wrote in his newsletter. “I hope to see many from our community attend this meeting so we can discuss what can be done by each one of us to prevent and stop human trafficking.”

Parker has been involved in  anti-trafficking legislation, including House Bill 1983House Bill 1291 and House Bill 2692.
