In Judaism, on Yom Kippur, we ask G-d to forgive the sins we committed against him, but in order to be forgiven for wrongs we’ve committed against others, we have to offer our sincere apologies and ask for forgiveness.
What we say and how we say it matters. Torah teaches us that G-d spoke the world into existence. The world was created through words. The rabbis teach us to guard our tongue from lashon hara (evil speech).
When we see natural beauty — something or someone so gorgeous that it takes our breath away, we recite a bracha which translates to, “Blessed are you, our G-d, King of the Universe, who has such beauty in His universe.”
