This is just a rehash of the Victorian argument that women should not be allowed to work outside of the home in order to protect them from the corrupt male industrial world so that they can continue to be moral safeguards and icons of purity so that men can feel better about the damage they do; when really being violent, selfish, arrogant and jack-assy are opportunities for each gender in equal measure. If a woman wants to shoot, let her. If a man wants to sew, let him. The conversation needs to be about values not about gender
