On Jan. 18, the same day as the national Women’s March
in Washington DC, women's rights advocates will be
gathering in Riverfront Park to rally together and advocate for pressing issues.
As a woman, a Jew, a lesbian, a rabbi and a mother I am so honored to write about the Women's March and stand with all of you to speak out for the rights of all human beings to live in dignity, respect and equality in this country.
I told her of my realization that if each person who walked, and each person who was touched in some way by the march, made one small change to bring our gift more wholly to life we would have global transformation.
Empowerment, equality, and unity flowed freely in the uplifting atmosphere created by thousands of Spokane area community members Saturday for the first annual Women’s March in Spokane.
Approximately 30 volunteers are coordinating the Spokane-area march, and women are coming from across the region, including Pullman, Deer Park and Moses Lake to participate in the event, which will take place at the Spokane Convention Center, 334 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.
