As the nation celebrates our 17 million living veterans, it is also important to know that the number of these heroes who are ending their own lives prematurely is rising.
William Tecumseh Sherman once said “War is Hell.” If that’s true, then the transition back to civilian life after military service is a kind of purgatory. Finding one’s way out of Hell often requires a helping hand. Point Man International Ministries, which has an outpost in Spokane, has been offering that hand since 1984.

I'm not a veteran and I find it extremely difficult to impose what I think they need, so part of my work is to partner with veteran ministries or veterans themselves that recognize the reality of moral injury and are effectively serving veterans in love and truth.
