Christian Comedian Michael Jr. will perform at the Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox on Friday as a benefit for Union Gospel Mission.

Imagine checking into a hotel room and being told the facility is full.

The Union Gospel Mission (UGM) Inland Northwest has announced its two annual drives for the holiday season: a coat drive with partner Burlington Coat Factory and a donation drive with partner Denver Mattress Company.

From now through Jan. 31 Burlington Coat Factory, 5830 N Division St., will give customers a 10 percent discount on one item if they donate a gently used coat.

Union Gospel Mission will distribute the coats for free to those in need.

The Union Gospel Mission announced this week the hiring of JoAnn Zajicek (Zi-check) as director and Debi Pauletto as community relations director for the new UGM Center for Women and Children in Coeur d'Alene.
