St. Clare Ecumenical Catholic Community will now hold its weekly Sunday morning services at 3102 W. Ft. George Wright Drive. The Rev. Tom Altepeter said the move was made to accommodate continued growth.

This week we begin the liturgical season of Lent. Let's talk a bit about the history, purpose and practices of Lent.

Lent is a period of 40 days set aside to spiritually prepare for Easter.

This isn’t your typical Catholic church.

There’s no incense. No gothic-style building. The congregation doesn’t believe the pope is infallible. And, the priest, the Rev. Tom Altepeter, is married.
