Upcoming Talk at GU: More Americans Support Climate Policies, but National Action Remains a Challenge

Matthew T. Ballew will discuss climate change opinion and more on Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 5 p.m., as a featured speaker at the Gonzaga Center for Climate, Society, and the Environment. The talk, entitled “Climate Change in the American Mind and Implications for Climate Change Communication,” will be on zoom, free and open to the public.

Torrie Hester, Ph.D., will deliver a lecture titled "Deportation: The Origins of U.S. Immigration and Deportation Policy" at Gonzaga University on Oct. 10 at 6 p.m.

BRIEF: Gonzaga brings scholarly lectures to local coffee houses

As part of its 125th Anniversary celebration, Gonzaga University has launched a new series of free faculty lectures titled “Transformation Cafes," which will be presented in neighborhood venues.

According to a press release, this is a way for the university to bring scholars into the community to, "share knowledge, perspectives and the joy of learning with more residents."
