It will be especially useful for those not yet acquainted with Spokane Muslim families, children, youth and retirees, but also enjoy delicious refreshments from different cultures and good conversation,” said Saleh Elgiadi, a co-organizer of the open house in a press release.
He said there are an estimated 5,000 American Muslims in the Greater Spokane area, and pointed out that they teachers, scientists, law enforcement officials, military personnel, pharmacists and so on, who give back to society everyday.
“Muslims here are Americans in their hearts and in fact – most are born or raised as U.S. citizens,” he said.
