Spokane church targeted by vandals again over Israel message

FāVS News Brief

A Spokane church has been vandalized for the second time this year over its display of support for Israel. On Sunday morning, church goers noticed the word “genocide” spray-painted over Plymouth Congregational Church’s sign displaying “We Stand With Israel” and a defaced Star of David symbol.

This incident follows a similar act of vandalism in January when the church’s welcome sign reading “GOD BLESS ISRAEL” was defaced with spray-painted expletives and anti-Zionist messages.

City Councilor Jonathan Bingle condemned the latest attack in local media, calling it “a blatant attack not just on a house of worship but on the freedoms of speech, religion, and expression.”

He urged law enforcement and city leadership to take decisive action to protect houses of worship and hold perpetrators accountable.
