On Saturday Salem Lutheran Church will be holding a prayer and worship service for those impacted by the Wolverine Fire near Lake Chelan.
Because of the fire, residents of Holden Village have been evacuated.
“Salem has members and friends who have lived at Holden, and for whom Holden holds a special place in their hearts,” the church stated in an announcement today.
The service will be at 6:30 p.m. and will use the Holden Evening Prayer worship service. Sister congregation, Phinney Ridge Lutheran in Seattle, will also be gathering for Holden Evening Prayer at that time.
“Even if you’re not able to attend this worship service, please hold the displaced villagers in your thoughts and prayers during this time of uncertainty. And pray also for firefighters who are trying to contain the Wolverine Fire,” Salem announced.
