On Dec. 21 at 3 p.m., St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church will offer a “Blue Christmas” — a Service of Light for the Longest Night. The community is invited to join in a quiet service of healing prayers, Scripture readings, and music to acknowledge that God is present for those who mourn, and that God’s light shines in the darkness.
For those who have experienced loss due to death, illness, separation, or financial setbacks, Christmas can be a time of sadness.
“All are welcome to experience the healing presence of Christ. Please come and invite your friends,” St. Stephen’s said in a press release.
