The community is invited to join state legislators, city council members and local leaders for the groundbreaking ceremony for the new facility of the Peaceful Valley Youth Program at All Saints Lutheran Church, Friday at 11 a.m.

“The Peaceful Valley Youth Program is a huge asset to this community,” said Spokane Councilman Jon Snyder in a press release. “This new facility will expand the amount of people this program reaches.”

The Peaceful Valley neighborhood has been looking to move the youth program to a new facility for years now due to the condition of their current World War II-era community center. Once construction is finished, the new facility will double the programs capacity, according to a press release.

Speaker of the House Frank Chopp, State Senator Andy Billig and Representatives Marcus Riccelli and Timm Ormsby are expected to join Snyder and Councilman Mike Allen for the ceremony.
