On Friday at 7 p.m. Lyad Burnat, a leader of the non-violent popular resistance in Bil'in, Palestine, will be speaking at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane.
He'll speak about Bilin's successful struggle to regain part of their farmland from Israel when the Separation Wall was placed there and their land was confiscated, and the continued non-violent opposition to the wall, according to an announcement.
The event is free and open to the public.
It's co-sponsored by The Peace and Justice Action League of Spokane, Veterans for Peace, and the Unitarian church.
More information is available on the event's Facebook page.
