spokidsfbheaderA new local website, Spokids NW features a detailed calendar of events for parents and caregivers in the Spokane area, along with lists of resources, classes, and promotional deals. The site also features a blog with information connecting parents and caregivers to services and solutions; along with provide access for community members to comment and share, according to a press release.

Developed and managed by two mothers and friends, Lindsey Vlasman and Emily Gwinn, the site hopes to help parents and caregivers find the services they need and provide new ways to connect with others.

It’s free for businesses to get listed, and feature-advertising packages are available.

“We would love to hear from area businesses about special events and anything “kid-related” to add to our website and calendar,” Vlasman and Gwinn said in a news release.
