The Palouse Coalition of Reason will celebrate the life of Charles Darwin Feb. 7-10 with “Darwin on the Palouse.”
The free multi-day event will start Thursday with a lecture by Frank Brown titled, “Evolution of Africa's Omo-Turkana Basin.” This will be at 7 p.m. at the Washington State University senior ballroom.
Also on Thursday, following Brown's lecture, Valerie Tarico will discuss the evolution of gender roles and the effect of Abrahamic traditions. Her lecture will be in the same location.
Friday will feature live music and dancing for Rendezvous in the Park starting at 7 p.m. at 1912 Center, in Moscow, Idaho. Tickets are $10.
Darwin on the Palouse will conclude Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the University of Idaho where Julia Sweeney will be introduce a film of her monologue “Letting go of God” and will do a Q and A after the showing.
Each night there will be a gathering at Wanderers' Tavern in downtown Moscow.
