Morality means a million different things to a million different people. Unless there was one "true" irrefutable moral system, no one could assert that belief in God is essential to morality.

During my freshman year of college while around a group of my peers, I expressed an opinion about capital punishment that apparently wasn’t as common in mainstream Christianity as I’d previously imagined.

First, grief is inevitable and is actually a part of living. Life begins and life ends and grieving is what we do for the latter.

As a Christian, I am irritated by just about every misconception about us.

It's hard to be considered part of something when the whole point of your belief lacks the major criteria that everyone else in the category possesses.

Well in one sense, God has favor towards everyone through Jesus Christ because He gave everyone a chance to be reconciled back to him instead of letting sin remain a permanent barrier between both parties. Some people make the argument that God's love is conditional because you have to believe in Jesus Christ but that's not what Scripture communicates.

1. Never assume, because you are a Christian, that people know you love them.

I mention this one first because it’s been at the front of my mind for some time now.
