Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center will host workshop on June 3, “Communicating in the Culture of Poverty Workshop.”
According to an announcement, at the three hour session attendees are expected to:
• Learn how to understand the context of poverty from the unique world- view of those in poverty.
• Explore the differences in life experiences of various social classes and the crucial role they play in determining one’s success.
• Explore how to include Oral Culture learning styles when working with people from poverty backgrounds.
The workshop is free and will be from 1-4 p.m. at Providence Sacred Heart in the Mother Joseph Room, 101 W 8th Ave.
