The real issue I think we need to discuss is where should children sit, because that’s an issue of life and death according to the bible.
Acts 20:9: “As Paul spoke on and on, a young man named Eutychus, sitting on the windowsill, became very drowsy. Finally, he fell sound asleep and dropped three stories to his death below.”
Maybe this is why the Orthodox church services require standing during their gatherings and the liturgical churches have all that siting, kneeling, standing routine, probably stems from the fear of sleepy slaughter.
