Whitworth University will present Joseph Wittwer, senior pastor at Spokane’s Life Center Foursquare Church, with the Whitworth University Distinguished Ministry Leadership Award later this month.

This year marks Life Center Foursquare Chruch's 10th year at their current location, 1202 N. Government Way. The church is part of the Foursquare Gospel, which is an evangelical denomination that traces its beginnings back to the early 1930’s.

Life Center Foursquare Church will host a benefit concert for World Relief Spokane at 7 p.m. on June 13 featuring Beatles tribute band, Creme Tangerine.

Contemporary Christian musician Mark Schultz will appear in concert at Life Center Church on May 9.

Over the last 17 years, Life Center Foursquare Church has planted seven churches in Spokane and Spokane Valley.

Around 4 a.m. Tuesday, police arrived at Life Center Foursquare Church at 1202 W. Government Way to find a Toyota station wagon had jumped the curb and crashed through the north wall of the church and onto the main stage of the auditorium, according to a news release.
