On Tuesday, several hundred people came to honor Sandy Williams’ 61 years on earth for her celebration of life event hosted by the Carl Maxey Center at the First Interstate Center of the Arts.
The local NAACP, Musicians Union, Peace & Justice Action League of Spokane, Sierra Club, Center for Justice and Greater Spokane Progress organizations, as well individuals from Spokane have organized a Black Lives Matter vigil, which will take place this weekend.
