There’s a natural cure for dealing with your stress and it’s spiritual.
Fewer people go to church, and that’s a problem.
Attending church maintains and builds your spiritual life yet many choose not to go. Some might feel awkward about it, others too shy to attend. Regardless of your reasons, it’s time to come back and make attending church a regular, weekly habit.
Still feeling uncertain? Learn why it’s important to go to church right here:
Need for a Community
It’s no secret that life is hard. However, Galatians 6:2 teaches that we should lift each other.
It’s our responsibility to carry each other’s burden and help each other stay strong and together. We all need a safe place to worship, to express love for God, and to teach kids and others about His work. Achieve this by going to church and engaging not only with the pastor but with the other attendees.
Teach Kids the Love of God
Going to church sets an example for your kids and younger siblings. Show them the value of going to church by taking them with you. Otherwise, they might grow up and not go to church since it never became a weekly habit.
Let your kids enjoy the love of God. There are so many wonderful things in God’s church and there’s no reason to keep children away.
They’ll also get to interact and get along with other kids who share their love and appreciation for God and the church. Keep in mind that friends shape a person’s life and the trajectory of their decisions. Let your kids stick with friends who not only understand the beauty of the church but will keep your kids on that track.
The Power of Sermons
Why go to church when you can read the Bible yourself, right?
Sure, anyone can pick up the Bible but pastors undergo rigorous years of study and debate. Consider the powerful Christian sermons online by Pastor Kevin Harris. Many pastors take multiple courses to further understand the Bible, the history within its pages, and dissect the meaning of each passage.
Go to church for their knowledge and wisdom. Think about it: you could build a house on your own but wouldn’t you want trained carpenters to help you? It’s the same philosophy at work.
Exercise Your Gift
Everyone in the church community has something to offer. Your pastor might be front and center but you can help too. There will always be someone in the church who needs the help of a writer, a doctor, artist, or musician.
You don’t have to be up there preaching or singing in the choir.
You could cook meals to feed the church workers or volunteer to teach the kids during their youth ministry. Even through the smallest ways, attending church opens up new avenues for you to offer your gifts and strengthen the community.
It’s God’s Command
Don’t forget that Hebrews 10:25 reminds people to value meeting and worshiping together. One of God’s commandments is to honor the Sabbath, which means to set aside a day for worship and the church.
Why Wait? Go to Church Today!
Don’t hold back — make it a habit to go to church. It’s okay if you haven’t gone in a while; the community will help you reach back and rebuild your relationship with the church and God. Of course, it doesn’t end here. If you want more spiritual tips, feel free to read our other posts today. Discover new ways to strengthen your spiritual life.
Thanks for your write-up. One other thing is that if you are promoting your property on your own, one of the problems you need to be alert to upfront is how to deal with household inspection records. As a FSBO owner, the key to successfully transferring your property in addition to saving money with real estate agent commissions is awareness. The more you understand, the easier your sales effort might be. One area when this is particularly important is reports.
Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s difficult to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and appearance. I must say you have done a fantastic job with this. Additionally, the blog loads super quick for me on Safari. Excellent Blog!
