Today SpokaneFAVS held its 16th Coffee Talk we’d like to thank the attendees and volunteers for making it another success.
About 35 people participated today’s discussion, which was on “The Desensitization of Language” and $160 in donations were raised. Thanks to a generous donor who agreed to match what was raised, the Coffee Talk brought in a total of $310!
You can read posts on today’s subject, written by today’s panelists, below:
- Elizabeth Backstrom: “Why I think before I speak”
- Jan Shannon: “Not enough words for God”
- Blaine Stum: “Words can have immense power”
- Skyler Oberst: “Our relationship to language is changing”
The next Coffee Talk will take place at May 3. Check back for details.
