Great question!

In my opinion, there should be only one response: love. This doesn’t mean that we have to agree, but Jesus’ prioritizing loving God and loving others means we should respond in love to everyone, including (and especially) those with whom we disagree or have trouble liking. Anyone can be loving toward those he or she already likes or loves.
